The charitable actions and financial support offered by Aphrodite Hills Resort began many years ago, through numerous social and cultural activities which provided monetary assistance through donations to various non-profit organizations.
The decision to create an autonomous, non-profit charitable foundation in 2017 was based on the belief that this institution will inevitably have a significant promotion and hence offer greater support, through continuous social and cultural activities that can aid the common good with targeted actions. This belief stems from the continuous exercise of human values and is based on the unselfish offer of the founding members of the Foundation. With the Foundation, we can create even more opportunities that will allow us to act directly towards our duty for the common good.
Commitment
With the right ethical values and the appropriate professionalism, everyone involved will be called upon to fulfil the Foundation’s mission. The target is to develop non-profit activities to promote health, education and life-saving actions. The Foundation will work in close cooperation with the relevant authorities, and with a strong sense of purpose towards the improvement of the quality of life, as well as the development of the community in general through continuous information and awareness offered to the public regarding its actions.
‘For the Love of Life’ Foundation is committed to dealing with issues related to children, the environment, health, poverty and general issues of people or groups in a proven state of poverty and difficulty.
2017
In 2017, Aphrodite Hills, through its Foundation, supported the ‘Centre for Preventive Paediatrics’, based in Limassol, which provides its services to the entire island of Cyprus.
The Centre has contributed in the prevention of many new cases of mental retardation and has been a pioneer in the implementation of universal prenatal and neonatal screening programmes. All programmes are offered free of charge to the whole population of Cyprus.
